Wyclef Jean’s Plea for Haiti Relief
Doing everything in his power to help the people of his homeland, Wyclef Jean took some time off from his disaster relief in Haiti to shoot a Haiti Relief Fund message in Miami Beach on Saturday (January 16).
Holding his guitar, the former Fugees hitmaker found the perfect outdoor spot at the Fontainebleau Hotel – proceeding to film his plea for everyone around the world to pitch in on the critical cause.
Meanwhile, Wyclef is also readying to join George Clooney and CNN’s Anderson Cooper in hosting MTV Networks’ “Hope for Haiti” global telethon – which will air on ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN, BET, the CW, HBO, MTV, VH1 and CMT on Friday, January 22, at 8PM ET/PT.
Talking about the dire need for help, Jean previously told press, “This is apocalypse. We spent the day picking up dead bodies, all day that’s what we did. There’s so much bodies in the streets that the morgues are filled up, the cemeteries are filled up.”
